An ad hoc DIPO committee has worked together with the Italian regulator to improve the consistency of the BL mapping issued by the Basel Committee with the main operative characteristic of the Italian Banking System.

Each BL is described in terms of a list of typical European banks’ activities.

CEBS substantially approved this solution in June 2005.

This mapping grants homogeneity of the data sent to DIPO.
